How to use Join4Join to grow your Discord server

The complete, up-to-date guide to Join4Join: log in with Discord, earn coins by discovering communities, promote your server to real opt-in users and keep the members you reach.

Published Updated 6 min read

Growing a Discord server from zero is hard. People only join communities they have heard of, and nobody hears of a server with twelve members. Join4Join breaks that loop: it is a Discord server discovery & promotion platform where real Discord users browse communities, join the ones they like and earn coins for it. Server owners spend those coins to be shown to more people.

This guide walks you through the whole thing, from your first login to a well-run campaign, with everything that changed in the 2026 version of the site.

How Join4Join works in 30 seconds

  1. You log in with your Discord account.
  2. You discover servers on the Earn page and join the ones you like. Each join earns you 0.75 coins.
  3. You stay at least 4 days in the servers you joined.
  4. You spend your coins to promote your own server. Other users discover it, and the ones who are interested join.

Everyone on the platform is on both sides of the exchange, which is why the members you reach are real people with real Discord accounts, not bots.

Step 1: Log in with Discord

Go to the login page and click Log in with Discord. Discord shows you an authorization screen: Join4Join uses the official Discord OAuth2 flow, so you never type a password on our site and we never see it. There is nothing else to create, no email to confirm.

Once you are in, you land on your dashboard. Your coin balance is always visible at the top.

Step 2: Earn your first coins

Open Earn. You get a list of servers currently being promoted, with their name, icon and a short description. Join the ones that interest you: each successful join credits 0.75 coins to your balance.

There are two kinds of servers in the list:

  • Bot mode servers: one click and the Join4Join bot adds you to the server. Nothing else to do.
  • Invite mode servers: you open the invite link, join the server in Discord, then come back to verify. The join is usually detected automatically, and you can always confirm it from the claim page.

The 4-day rule

A join only makes sense for the server owner if you actually stay a little. So each join must be kept for 4 days. If you leave a server earlier, 2 coins are deducted from your balance. The My joins page lists every server you joined through Join4Join and tells you exactly when each one can be left without penalty.

Let Auto-Farm do the clicking

If you want to join many servers at once, turn on Auto-Farm from the Earn page. Choose how many servers to join (at least 5, and up to your free Discord slots: Discord allows 100 servers per account, or 200 with Nitro, minus the servers you are already in). Auto-Farm then joins them in the background, even if you close the tab.

Other ways to earn

Joining servers is the main source of coins, but not the only one. On Rewards you can claim a daily reward (from 2 coins, more with a streak), a status reward and a boost reward. The referral program pays 10 coins per friend who gets started, plus a share of every server they join. We cover all of it in How to promote your Discord server for free.

Step 3: Promote your server

When you have coins, open Promote. You see the servers you are a member of. Pick the one you want to grow and set up a campaign:

  1. Choose a budget. 1 coin = 1 member reached, with a minimum of 3 coins.
  2. Choose a mode (see below).
  3. Add targeting if you need it. Optional filters let you exclude accounts that look like alternate accounts, or reach only users who speak a given language (English, French or Turkish). Each filter costs 22% of the delivered members.
  4. Start the campaign. Your server appears on the Earn page of other users right away.

No coins yet and no time to earn them? You can also get coins on the Coins page. It is optional: every feature of Join4Join is available with coins earned for free.

Bot mode or invite mode?

  • Bot mode is the fastest. You add the Join4Join bot to your server and members are added by the bot as soon as they click Join. The bot only stays for the campaign: when it ends, the bot leaves your server automatically. The bot has a limited number of server slots, so when it is full you are asked to use invite mode.
  • Invite mode works with a permanent invite link (no expiration, unlimited uses). Members join through the link and are verified. If the link stops working, the campaign pauses until you give a new one, so you never pay for a dead invite.

Step 4: Follow your campaign

Your campaign page shows its progress live, with analytics: joins per day and retention, meaning how many of the people who joined are still in your server. From the same page you can:

  • Refill the campaign with more coins when it gets close to the end.
  • Edit the filters while it runs.
  • Stop it at any time: the undelivered part is refunded to your balance.

If a member leaves your server before the 4 days, you get 0.5 coins back for that member.

Tips to keep the members you reach

Promotion brings people to your door. Whether they stay depends on what they find inside. A few things make a real difference:

  • A clear first screen. A short welcome channel that says what the server is about and where to start. Use Discord’s onboarding and a few self-assigned roles.
  • Visible activity. Launch a campaign when you can be around to say hello, and pin one or two active channels to the top.
  • A good name and icon. They are what people see on the Earn page. A clear name that describes your community beats a clever one.
  • No spam. Do not mass-ping new members or send them DMs. It is the fastest way to lose them.
  • Small first. Start with a modest campaign, watch the retention chart, improve your server, then scale up.

FAQ

Is Join4Join free?

Yes. You can earn all the coins you need by discovering servers, claiming rewards and inviting friends. Buying coins is optional and only saves time.

Are the members real?

They are real Discord users who chose to join your server from the Earn page. People are free to leave, which is why the retention chart matters more than raw numbers.

Do I need to give my Discord password?

No. Login goes through the official Discord authorization screen. Join4Join never sees your password.

How many servers can I join?

As many as your Discord account allows: 100 servers, or 200 with Nitro. After 4 days you can leave the servers you do not enjoy to free some slots.
